MY finance is 34 years old and has been on singular for several years. At first we thought she was going through PMS. However there was no relation to her cycle and her severe mood swings. She has had sinus infection after sinus infection and her leg pain is so bad she can't walk at times. All over joint pain she doesn't have arthritis, headaches and severe stomach problems. In her case the cure is worse than the asthma.

I have a 12 about to be 13 year old daughter who has been on Singulair now for quiet sometime, with a few breaks here and there. My question is considering she is 12 about to be 13 and is just starting to become a young women with PMS and all, how are we to determine whether or not the mood swings and insatiability is PMS or some weird side effect of Singulair? I don't necessarily want to stop her from taking Singulair considering the investigation is not over yet, but I don't want to continue putting her in harms way by keeping her on Singulair. Anyone have any suggestions?

I have been on Singulair for about a month. I have always had asthma/allergies.When I was first prescribed it I was very ill Sinus infection and phenomena. So my nose was stuffy and I could not smell or taste (from being sick. so as the weeks passed and I did not get my taste or smell back I was concerned. Singulair is the only new thing in my life so I have to point to it. I also have been having Very bad noose bleeds a few times aday. My sinuses and back of throat feel numb. I have been very angry/irratable( I just thought PMS or something) now seeing other peoples claims I realize that too is from Singulaie. My stomach has been very upset too. Constant bathroom visits. I could see how a child could have an accident. I have a very very hard time waking up in th emornings. No one can wake me. I feel druged. So I will discontinue

started it about the same time as thyroid meds. I started getting muscle weekness and joint pains mostly in legs when cold air blew on either. Also during PMS week. I dont know which med it is or if related at all. I am getting a 2nd opinion on somethings and possibly never needed the thyroid med to begin with since my hormone symtums sound and look on labwork more like low estrogen. My thyroid labs were always normal till 6 mo. after begining thyroid med then my labs were hyper. My dr. is clueless so I go somewhere else for this. He showed me how to use Advair wrong. Lucky for the internet I figured it out on my own. I am never going to try two meds together at the same time again cause then you dont know which is causing side effects or helping fatigue.

what happens when you take children off this drug cold turkey? my doctor said it was ok to do that. but this am my son (he's 4) woke up (day 2 off drug) and started screaming that the lights were hurting his eyes...and ran around turning all the lights off. i sat up and watched him sleep all night. I'm flipping out. what has this drug done to him and thousands of other children? will it go away now that they are off? anyone else have withdrawal issues?
