Has anyone gotten the injection in the arm?? I did for allergy symptoms on April 1, 2008, from an ENT doctor. It seemed to help for a while but I have since noticed I have become depressed and worried about dying. I also had really bad muscle spasms/cramping in both upper arms, which have finally gone away, but I still have a fullness feeling in my armpit area. I have had my regular doc check it a couple of times now and he can feel no lumps. I wish I never would have gotten this shot!!

I had a Kenalog injection in two trigger points (one on the right side of my spine in the shoulder blade area and one on the right side of my spine in the lower neck) on March 27, 2008. Prior to the shot, I was suffering from numbness in my right arm and leg, shooting pains and loss of motor skills in my right arm, severe muscle spasms in my back and neck, tightening in my chest and back, severe migraines, night sweats and hot flashes, vertigo/dizziness, shortness of breath, heart palpitations and chest pains to name a few. Since the injection, I have noticed an increase of heart palpitations, dizziness, severe migraines, blurry vision, excessive weight gain, severe hot flashes, tiredness, and have had trouble sleeping. In the last two weeks, I have noticed a quarter sized indentation where I received the shot in my shoulder blade area and a baseball sized indentation where I received the shot in my lower neck area. I was not made aware of ANY side effects to this shot and will DEFINITELY not get another one. It is only a month later and I have not felt any improvement in my symptoms that I had before or after the shot. I received the shot, as my doctor felt it would help with what they think is a spazzed muscle in my back shoulder blade area near the spine. The doctor who gave me the shot stated if it didn't help, they would try giving me a cervical epidural, which has its own set of scary risks! I am beginning to think I will have to live with my symptoms for the rest of my life!

I received a kenalog injection for coccyx pain March 2007. I have noticed the following side effects: nausea, heightened anxiety, insomnia, night sweats, loss of appetite, fatigue and severe generalized itching. It is now August and I am still experiencing these problems.
I have a question. Has anyone out there noticed their blood sugar
increasing? I am trying to see if this is separate or related to the injection.

Injections of Kenalog done via x ray machine, 3 times in a period of 2 months and trigger point injections with Kenalog done once after the second one did not work. Felt great after the first one, lasted for 4 weeks. Had another one done (second one) for the same problem, L5-SI (spinal fusion with rods and cages 7 years ago, developed sciata 4 months ago and pain doctor said the Kenalog shots were needed so I took her advice.
Needless to say, I was not informed of the warnings. I have been in bed now for 4 weeks, have no energy, feel dizzy and disorientated. Cannot even walk down the street without feeling like collapsing, hip pain and leg movement is deterioting and I am scared. Feel sick all of the time, cannot do laundry or dishes, feel so depressed as a result of these shots. Arm numbness and loss of motion, tingling in my fingers, burning pain in buttocks, down leg, and calf and down to foot. Also having muscle spasms in my left arm.
Never again will I do this. I will be speaking with my pain doctor next week and will inform her that these shots made me worse.
Thanks for listening to me, I need to go to bed again. I was such an active person before all of these shots were given to me. I feel so sad all the time and crying too often when I should be happy. I am a 47 year old female.
Any advice one can give would be appreciated.

Epidural Cervical Injection in January. Immediately: Migraine headache, extreme excess salivation for many hours, BP 150/100, trouble breathing. Dr. told me I was having "stress" from the procedure. Bulls_ _ _! and lies. Menstrual irregularities for 4 months. Had to have uterine ultrasound and endometrial biopsy to rule out more severe conditions unrelated to Kenalog. PLEASE - EVERYBODY READ THE BURTON REPORT which relates to informed consent. I had nothing that even looked like INFORMED consent. I was told no side effects. Be careful for the fluoroscope patients: WHAT TYPE OF DYE WILL BE USED??? VERY IMPORTANT. MANY SIDE EFFECTS TO THAT AS WELL. I have more frequent migraines, food sensitivities, caffeine intolerance, etc., etc. These doctors suck. Funny thing: another "pain" doctor wants to shoot me full of Botox for the muscle spasms. Yeah, right. Let him shoot himself full of (himself) whatever! BE CAREFUL. THIS IS A SERIOUS DRUG AND THEY DON'T TELL US THAT!

I received a Kenalog injection in my back for muscle spasms three weeks ago. My immediate side effects were burning in my hands and feet, and it is still going on. If this has happened to you, would you please share your experience and outcome.

I had Kenalog injections a few days ago for MyoFacial Pain Syndrome. They are used for Trigger Points in the body that cause severe muscle spasms.
-- By pooderdog | Reply | Private Message meI have experienced these spasms for about three years. The first three times I had the injections I had no side effects. But the relief from the pain only lasted about three weeks.
So the nurse practitioner upped the dosage the other day. Since that evening I have been suffering from chills, sweating, fatigue, lost appetite, anxiety, aching muscles, and insomnia. I wake in the night several times sweating.
The pain in my upper back has subsided now but am not sure it was worth it.
I called their office but have not heard back from them.
Am so tired from suffering already and I hope the side effects subside very soon!
