Fosamax and back pain

I am 75 years old, I was prescribed Fosamax about 7 weeks ago,
one once a week. After taking it for about 4 weeks I developed a
really bad back pain, I went to the doctor, he had x-rays done, result,
I had a crushed fracture in my 11 th vertebrae, how I did it I do
not know, I was in a lot of pain for several weeks, I still can't sit up
without support. I have also been suffering stomach pains and over
the week-end I had a very severe attack of Crohns, I seem worse off
for taking Fosamax ?

I have been taking fosamax for about a year now. I have really bad back pain and pain in the middle of my chest pretty regularly. I am also starting to have a burning sensation in the middle of my chest also. My worst problem is at night while sleeping. I have pretty significant pain while sleeping and my left hip is really hurting at night also. After reading all of this on this site, I am going to stop taking immediately and track the dates and see if I get over the symptoms

I tried Fosamax twice ...... the second try was two months after the first. Each time I developed a choking sensation, knee and back pain. My bite is much different, my kneecaps have drifted laterally and it is difficult to go up and down stairs or get in a pickup truck. I also am experiencing extreme fatigue, racing heart and sweating which has never occurred before. This happened each time by the second week. This time months later the symptoms are still with me. My doctor is clueless. I'm in the process of seeking another doctor. This is the result of taking a total of four tablets.

I have been taking Fosamax for two months and am experiencing excrusiating pain in the middle of my back. I can hardly stand or walk for any distance without feeling that I just cannot stand it another minute. The information that came with the medicine didn't mention this as a problem but the information available on many websites says to stop taking it if you have back pain. I am STOPPING now!
