I'm beginning to think these palpitations are caused by Flonase. I've gotten them one and off for the past few years - always chalked them up to stress... but I've also been on and off Flonase for the past few years. Correlation? Wish I was more conscientious...
I actually started back up with Flonase about 2 weeks ago, noticed the palpitations and stopped the Flonase for a few days, but still had them. I guess the medicine could still be in your system after a few days. Any thoughts?

I used in the past Flonase and worked. This time, I used the "generic" by other laboratory. I used it only once.
Developed a headache, felt virus-like symptoms and blisters on my lips. The most uncomfortable side effect ... 12 days and counting, everything with an aroma (or smell), smells the same, like some chemical. Even coffee, food. Have not used it again but side effects continue. Have tried saline spray to clean nostrils ... nothing has worked. Just wait??

I have used flonase for several years now. It is apparent to me that I have lost my sense of smell. I know that Zicam is being sued for a side effect that causes the loss of sense of smell. Has anyone else experienced this with Flonase?

when on vacation last november, i started having palpitations, where my heart literally paused/ skipped a beat. i went to the er and they did a bunch of tests and i now have a med bill of 10K+ for one day in hospital!
no blood clot (air travel and oc's within the previous year made them suspicious), but they found a very small asd/ pfo (heart).
my thyroid hormones were totally whacked, a blood clotting enzyme was elevated and my oxygen level upon exertion was low (dyspnea). i'm tired of seeing docs so i try to destress and exercise more.
the only thing i was on at the time was the flonase...i had been on it for more than 2 weeks and for the 2nd or 3rd time this year...my ent told me it was okay. yasmin is also a suspect in my drama, but that posting is on the yasmin side effects page.
write to me at ******, if you have had similar symptoms or have questions.

While using Flonase I lost 90 per cent of my sense of taste and smell. Very unsettling, but resolved quickly after I discontinued the medication.

I have a 3 year old that was taking Singulair until today after I read the horrible side effects that I was seeing in my child. He is also taking Flonase, one squirt in each notstril every morning. Are there any concerns I need to know? Is this truly safe for a 3 year old?
