Ambien and sleep well

Ambien 4 yrs Ambien CR 1yr memory loss, I don't sleep very long. Sometimes I will close my eyes and I can't move or speak, headache. I don't know how long it last. I can hear whats is going on around me, but I can't call out for help. depression.

I first got immediate good sleep from Ambien. However, I began to develop a kind of nervousness, almost like jet lag. When arriving at work I was nearly shaking in my hands. I thoght it might be some mild alcohol consumption to I stoped that. Then I went to good meals 3 times a day. Still nothing. I just stopped Ambien and feel like a new person. I don't sleep well at night but at least I'm back to what I think it normal. I was at a point where I thought I was having a nervous breakdown. As soon as I got off Ambien I am normal again. Jim

I couldn't sleep on Sunday nights so I went on Ambien. I might take this 1 or 2 times a week. I have 10 mg but have to now brake it in half. My husband said I did some wild things to him ( sexually) that I don't remember at all. This side affect is okay with US!!! It puts my in trance of some sort but boy to I sleep well. Once this wares off you are up for good so be sure to take it early or late enough.

I have been taking ambien for several months now. I have found no other sleeping aid the works as effectively. I usually split the pills and take only half and I always sleep well.

Despite how well I sleep I am concerned that it may be causing side effects. I went to the doctor recently for a routing chest x-ray and they noticed that I might have an enlarged heart. Although I have no problems with heart rate or blood pressure, I still am wondering if there is some connection to taking the ambien.

I will be going back to the doctor next week for more tests. Is this a possible side effect?
