What should I do to treat the tendinitis in my shoulder? I will NEVER take any Cipro type drug again!

I too have developed tendonitis, in my lower legs. I've chronicled my progress, perhaps you can find an answer in something that has helped me. Please see my site www.floxintoxin.com

I have looked at your site. Boy you have a lot of information.... The one site that interested me was "what works" to help remedy this pain. For some reason i can not access this site???? Could you tell me what you have found works best to get through this? I have been struggling for 8 months with tendon pain....bottom of feet, knees, elbows, heal where tendon attaches.....etc. I appreciate any help you could share with me. Thank you! Mike

I'm sorry, I didn't check back to this forum for a while. I've been doing good but I'm afraid I have been struggling with my mother's fallout from taking Lisinopril and trying to help her. OK, what works. Don't bother with anymore drugs. Stay away from any injections like cortisone. Magnesium taken with Malic Acid (to help it absorb) 500mg day. Silica (Flora brand) does work 3x day, but you won't believe it for a couple of weeks. The big one for nerve damage is Benfotiamine (a special B-1 vitamin) 600mg day (4 doses spread out over the day at 150mg each) and Methyl B-12 (another special B vitamin 2x day at 1000mcg). Don't bother with Vitamin B complexes, they don't do much. I'd like to recommend Magnesium Chloride because I did a bunch of research on it and ordered a 44lb bag with the belief it would help me. Problem is it itched like mad and I couldn't keep spraying it on, so I've ordered some other stuff to mix with it including lavender, aloe vera and chamomile and turn it into a lotion that will hopefully work, although to be honest at this point everything else has worked so well I don't need it. Another BIG discovery recently was iodine. Something I thought from misinformation was dangerous. Turns out that is not so and it has actually solved a lot of other things as well that I had before Cipro. My theory is that since my thyroid went nuts, quit literally, when I was on Cipro (TSH tests came out I was hypothyroid with no prior history) that the drug also messes up your immune system, which the thyroid plays a large part in. Here's a simple, cheap test your doctor won't tell you about. Go to Walgreens and buy "tincture of iodine". Paint a 2x2 patch on your arm and if it vanishes in under 24 hours then you're deficient in iodine. If it's gone in 10 hours you have a severe deficiency. Don't go licking salt, it doesn't have enough iodine in it to help. I had a second thyroid test taken a week ago, the TSH is now "normal". Problem is I'm still deficient. Three days on iodine and I'm afraid to say but it has improved my mood even though I have a hard time believing it (I kept getting depressed for no reason). Other good things I don't know yet, but I'm hopeful. It's called Iodoral (you can google for it). One more thing about iodine, run a search for "history of iodine" and you'll find our handy government has squashed something else that is of great need in a number of illnesses. Those are the major supplements that helped me. I still have days when I do too much and feel a slight pain at my ankles, I can't tell you if it will ever go away but I have great hope it will. Best of luck to you.
