Swelling in lip area & swelling itchy hands

Posted at 3:47 PM on Aug 19, 2008 by mherzog42, #7201
I was told to stop taking Lisinopril 5 days ago, and I'm still having symptoms. Does anyone know how long it takes for symptoms to subside?

I started taking Lisinopril about 5 weeks ago and had my bottom lip swell up like a balloon. Very fatigued and felt like I had the flu for about 2 - 21/2 weeks. Doctor did not believe it was connected with the medication. I disagree but he is not changing it. Now I have very thick excess saliva which seems slimy or greasy. I say its's just too much of a "coincidence".

I think your correct. My Dr. took me off Lisinopril and has replaced it with a diuretic. It's definitely a side effect of the drug, and he didn't want to take a chance of a worse reaction that could impair my breathing.
