I myself experience something like it . With being a afraid of my home, and with my baby. Fear of something but didnt know what. I had the mirena for 7 months and had it removed I currently recoving. Have some energy back, able to do task around the house. I'm smiling again but not completely 100 % but I do see some hope. I do know now I wasnt going crazy!!! It was the mirena even doug dr's dont want to admit it. Good Luck
I have to think that it all relates to a hormone imbalance. While some may be recently postpartum, I had almost all of the same symptoms as everyone else posting here....and my "baby" will be 13 in a few months! After having it removed, I immediately went into menopause (I'm 43 and had been having regular periods prior to the Mirena) so maybe fluctuating hormones, whether from recent childbirth or perimenopause, makes the side effects worse? In any case, I could not handle the problems....6 months post-removal and I am almost "recovered" .... except for the menopause thing, of course! :-) No recovery from that!
Hi there sorry to hear your feeling so bad. My name is Katie and i believe you are suffering with Post natal depression (ofte nothing to do with baby though). I have suffered with PND for two years and had many of the symptoms you describe, i also had the coil fitted about 6 months ago and still feel the same. The Mirena coils hormones are only local, i.e. just affect the lining of your womb, i had this so i wouldnt have to take the pill and throw any more hormones in with the problems i already have with depression. There is so much support out there that you will never know about until you go to see your doctor or health visitor, much of it has helped me no end. best wishes katie
